What’s something you’re going through right now that feels heavy, or complicated, or just a lot?
It could be loss of a job or losing a pet. Maybe someone you love is sick. Perhaps you’re struggling with your health or weight or mental health. That’s life.
Interestingly, the struggles I have faced in life are not unique. I know others have faced the same challenges. Now, each person survives in different ways. It’s like how everyone grieves differently.
When life is difficult, I try to find somethings that bring me back into myself, that makes me, me. When I can do this, I can get through anything.
Grounding is also an important exercise to bring me back into my body. Perhaps you spend a little bit longer in the shower and feel your feet beneath you. Perhaps you walk in the grass. Maybe you put your feet in a lake or body of water. Grounding can also be experienced by sitting firmly in a chair with bare feet on the floor.
As for me, I try to face life’s challenges with positivity and a mindset that this, too, shall pass. Part of that is realizing what I can control and what I cannot. That makes a big difference. It’s also about letting things go that do not serve you or your higher self. That’s easier said than done!
Finally, building up my mental health and keeping that my focus makes every challenge or heavy life events not only manageable but surpassable.
